Some report setup screens have a Columns hot key, which you can use to customize the report layout. You can select different columns to display on the report, and you can rearrange the order in which the selected columns are listed.
The Column Setup screen displays with the report's default layout. Columns appear on the report, from left to right, in the order in which they are listed on the setup screen. The currently selected columns of information are listed on the left and the unused columns are listed on the right.
Each column also shows the column width. If you reduce the default column size on the report, the title of the column wraps. However, if the column width is too small, the column title can display vertically. You may need to experiment with column size to find what works best for your company. The Total Width field is updated as you make changes. The total width determines the orientation and font size used for the report.
Note: Use the Reset Def hot key to return all settings to the default variables on the company or user format.
From your report screen, use the Column hot key to display the [Report Name] Columns screen.
The system prompts you to select whether the revised report layout is for just your user ID or the Company.
User ID – If you revise the report layout, it is stored as the default layout for your user ID. It is used whenever you run the report.
Company – If you revise the report layout, it is stored as the company-wide default layout.
Default – The default column layout. This is view-only.
The system then populates the screen with the currently selected columns displayed on the left and the unused columns displayed on the right as follows:
