Using Eaton Product Availability
Integrate with Eaton electrical supplier to do real-time inquires on
product availability. Setting up this feature in the Eclipse B2B Commerce
solution allows you a seamless interaction with Eaton inventory, which
improves efficiency in serving your customers.
To enable and use the Eaton integration you need to:
Activating the Eaton Integration
The process of activating the integration with Eaton involves the following.
Generating a Certificate from Eclipse Web API Portal
Create the certificate
as follows.

Login
to the Eclipse API Web Portal ( http://<ServerIP>:5000 ).

Navigate
to
API Administration > Personal Certificate Management.

From
the Personal Certificate Management screen, click the Create New
Self-Signed Certificate button.

Enter
the certificate details, and then click the Create Certificate
button.

Return
to the Personal Certificate Management page, and click the certificate
that you created.

In
the Certificate Details page, click the copy button.
Use this in the email that you create to register the certificate
with Eaton.
Registering the Certificate
After generating
the certificate, complete the email for the initial registration with
Eaton.
Note: The certificate expires
annually.
Use using the following information for the email.

After Eaton processes your request, they provide:

Configuring B2B Commerce for Eaton Integration in Eclipse
Set up Eclipse B2B Commerce for Eaton inventory to do real-time inquiries.
Use the Eaton registration information that you received from Eaton as
part of configuring vendors and products for inquiry with Eclipse.
Once the configuration is complete, you can use the existing B2B
product inquiry methods to view the available product quantity. Much of
this setup is existing B2B Commerce functionality and can be found elsewhere
in the B2B topics.
Note: Eaton doesn't provide
price information.

Use the Eaton-provided client
ID, customer ID, and certificate data to establish the vendor connection
in Eclipse.

Set the base URL for vendor
communication with Eaton.

Set up the parameters for
product inquiry.

Configure products for inquiry
with Eaton.
Setting Up the Vendor for B2B Commerce Inquiry with Eaton
Configure the
vendor account information and the items that you may be running inquires
on.

On Eclipse, navigate to
Main Menu > Maintenance > Vendor, and then select a vendor or create a
new vendor.

From Vendor Maintenance window,
navigate to Additional > B2B Commerce Maintenance.

On B2B Commerce Vendor Maintenance window,
complete the fields as required with the following fields specific
for the Eaton integration.

Account ID - This is the
Customer ID provided by Eaton with the registration.

Login Key - This is the
Client ID provided by Eaton with the registration.

Certificate Hash - Select
the certificate key that was created through the Eclipse web API
Portal.

You can leave the Display
Cost check box as it is. It does not affect the Eaton integration
since Eaton does not provide prices.

In the lines on the lower
portion, you can specify lines of products that apply to the Eaton
integration.
Setting UP Base URL for B2B Vendor
For the vendor
to send product inquiries, set the Base URL as follows.

On Eclipse, navigate to Main Menu >
Maintenance > Vendor, and then select a vendor or create a
new vendor.

From Vendor Maintenance window,
navigate to Additional > B2B Commerce Maintenance.

On B2B Commerce Vendor Maintenance window,
navigate to File > B2B Post URL.

In Transaction Type, for
Product Inquiry complete the fields as required with the following
fields specific for the Eaton integration.

Partner - Select EatonV2.

Base URL - Enter https://wsgateway.eaton.com

In Transaction Type, for
Connection Test (use only if needed for testing):

Partner - Select Eaton.

Base URL - Enter https://wsgateway-qa.eaton.com

Save changes.
Setting the Data Source For the Inquiry
Configure the
product attribute for the product inquiry as follows.

On Eclipse, navigate to Main Menu >
Maintenance > Vendor, and then select a vendor or create a
new vendor.

From Vendor Maintenance window,
navigate to Additional > B2B Commerce Maintenance.

On B2B Commerce Vendor Maintenance window,
navigate to File > B2B Post URL.

Select the Product Inquiry
transaction type.

Navigate to Additional >
Data Source.

On the Additional Parameters
screen, complete the fields as required with the following fields
specific for the Eaton integration.

External Field - Select
MaterialNumber.

Value - Select the appropriate
product sync parameter ( such as Primary UPC or EAN/GTIN).

Save changes.
Configure Products for Inquiry
Configure the
relevant products to run inquires for the sync data source selected.

On Eclipse, navigate to Main Menu > Maintenance > Product, and then select a product or create a new product.

From the Product Maintenance
screen, navigate to Additional Data > UPC Code Maintenance.

Set the appropriate value.
-
Repeat for each relevant
product.

Save changes.
