The Quick Pack option provides a way to bypass the item-by-item scanning and assign all items in an order to a carton. If a key concern in your fulfillment operations is the labor costs due item-by-item packing process, you can enable your users to leverage the Quick Pack option to bypass the item-by-item packing. The user selects one or more totes or the contents of the order (if a non-RF warehouse) and by using the Quick Pack option “dump” the selected items into a new or pre-existing carton. While less accurate because users do not verify each SKU number and quantity, the quick pack option is the quickest way to uniquely label your outbound shipping containers and track them through the loading process without the effort of validating each item and quantity.
User must be assigned the CONVERT.TOTE.TO.CARTON authorization key to quick pack cartons.
To quickly pack cartons:
From the Warehouse Management menu, select Carton Packing to display the Carton Packing window.
In the Order ID field, enter or scan the order ID you want to pack.
The system displays the Pack Order Status window. Click Pack Order Status if the window does not automatically display.
Use the check boxes to select which order items you want to pack.
Click Quick Pack.
The system adds the order's items to the Packed column.
Click Finished or Add Carton to continue.
