To setup your terminal for carton packing:

  1. From the System > System Files menu, select Terminal Setup.

  2. From the File menu, select Carton Packing to display the Carton Packing Settings.

  3. Use the following settings to indicate what your default carton setting options should be:

Setting

Description / Options

Default Carton Type

Select the carton type that you typically pack, such as box or pallet, to use as the default value and avoid extra keystrokes. If no Carton Type is selected, the system prompts the user after completing the packing process.

Scan On

  • On - Select if you want to check and pack material using a wedge scanner to scan UPCs or Eclipse product barcodes.

  • Off - Select if you plan to visually check items because UPCs are not cross-referenced or do not exist on the product for this given pack station use the Spacebar to pack an item

Auto Pack Order Status

  • On - Select if tote consolidation is used or Quick Pack options needed. Also use to see the state of the order so when a user first displays a Tote or Order, the Pack Order Status displayed with the user options for proceeding.

  • Off - If you are an RF facility and intend to pack a single tote at a time.

Pack Quantity Option

Select how to handle pack quantities if you load more than one piece of item at a time, such as more than one faucet.

  • Pack One Quantity - System requires you scan each box. Recommended if the majority of packing is 1-5 piece to systematically count the correct quantity being shipped. However, if the occasional large quantity item needs to be packed, such as 75 pieces, strictly adhering to 75 scans would slow down your process. The user can use the Ctrl-Q option to override and force a prompt pack process for that given item.

  • Pack Full Quantity - System assumes the full quantity listed on the Available to Pack column. The user can use the Ctrl-Q option to override and force a prompt pack process for that given item, if needed.

  • Prompt for Quantity - System prompts the user to enter the number of pieces before scanning. This is the default.

  1. Click OK to save your settings and exit the window.
