There are two types of document indexer that you can use with the Eclipse system. You can use the Barcode Service or the original Document Indexer.
The Barcode Service is part of the Document Imaging companion product. Barcode Service works with Eclipse Document Imaging to organize, manipulate, and attach documents to Eclipse records.
The Barcode Service automatically attaches a document image to the sales order or purchase order. When the image is appropriately prepared and placed in the designated system folder, the Barcode Service process runs to assign the image to the proper order. Barcode Service improves on the original Document Indexer to eliminate cumbersome handling and rework to save time and avoid errors. The Barcode Service works with the Sales Order Entry window and the Purchase Order Entry window to attach a document to an order.
