Managing Contact Settings for EC

Use the Contact Settings tab to define which e-mail address to enable in EC to use as a login. For each contact ID, the system displays all available e-mails. Select the individual e-mail you want to use for EC communication for that contact. This is the e-mail that contact will use to login to ECand must be unique to the user.

For example, John Smith is your order writer for EC. He has two e-mails activated for the company: JSmith_AP@electric.com and JSmith_Sales@electric.com. For ECorders, you activate JSmith_Sales@electric.com so that all EC sales information is sent to that address.

 Important: For EC, your contact must have a valid mailing address, price line, and buy line assigned through Contact Maintenance.

To activate contact an e-mail address:

  1. From the System > System Programming > API Maintenance menu, select API Configurations to display the API Configurations window.

  2. Click the Epicor Commerce pane, if not already selected.

  3. Click the Contact Settings tab, if not already selected.

  4. In the Contact field, select for which contact you want to activate an e-mail address.

The system displays all available and active e-mail addresses. The e-mail address must be unique for each contact. Group e-mails, such as sales@electric.com, are not recommended.

  1. Select the Web Enabled check box for the e-mail address you want to activate. You can only select one e-mail to activate per contact.
