Testing Your Point of Sale Setup

Test to make sure all hardware functions properly with normal Eclipse processing.

To test your point of sale set up:

1. From the Orders menu, select Sales Order Entry.

2. Open a sales order and change the Pick Up Now status.

3. Click the Totals tab and enter cash received.

The receipt should print and the cash drawer should open when you exit from the Totals screen and the order.

To test your point of sale set up:

1. From the System > Custom menu, select Open Cash Drawer.

Note: You must be assigned the SUPERUSER authorization key or the POS.OPEN.DRAWER authorization key.

2. At the Are You Sure You Want To Open Cash Drawer (Y/N)? prompt, type Yes to open the cash drawer.
