Using Terminal ID Maintenance for EPOS

Use Terminal Maintenance to setup your workstation for point-of-sale transactions. You can use an existing terminal ID at the workstation. However, if you are not currently using terminal IDs, you must create a new terminal ID called pos.

Note: As of Release 9.0.1, the Pole Display check box is deactivated. If you have a pole point-of-sale display, use the Eterm application to activate it.

To use an existing terminal ID:

  1. From the System > System Files menu, select Terminal Setup.

  2. Select the terminal ID you want to set.

  3. From the File menu, select Point of Sale.

  4. Select the Receipt Printer check box and define the Emulation, such as Epson.

  5. Select the Cash Drawer Attached check box.

  6. Click OK.

To create a new terminal ID for point of sale:

  1. From the System > System Files menu, select Terminal Setup.

  2. From the File menu, select New.

  3. At the Terminal ID prompt, type pos and click OK.

The new terminal is added to the list.

  1. Locate the new pos terminal ID.

  2. From the File menu, select Point of Sale.

  3. Select the Receipt Printer check box and define the Emulation, such as Epson.

  4. Select the Cash Drawer Attached check box.

  5. Select the Print Pick Ticket setting required. The default is Normal.

  6. Click OK.
