The system gives the graph a generic title associated with the name of the window from which the graph was launched. You can edit the main title and the axis descriptions to more closely describe the graph. You can also change the color, style, and size of the text to better meet your presentation needs.
To change the title of a table graph:
From the Graph window, select File > Graph Options.
Click the Titles and Text tab.
To change a title, select the field directly under one of the following areas and enter the title text:
Note: You cannot rename the axis or legend titles.
North Title – Identifies the title of the graph. Enter a title that exactly describes what the graph shows.
For example, if you are viewing uncollected receivables by age bucket as of a certain date, you might enter Aging A/R as of 01/01/06 as your title.
South Title – Identifies the data on the x-axis, which is the group of data being evaluated.
In our example, this would be the aging buckets, so you might enter Aging Buckets as your title.
West Title – Identifies the data on the y-axis, which is the amount or the frequency of occurrence by which you are measuring the data.
Continuing our example, this would be the amount you are owed, so you might enter Amount Due as your title.
Note: When you move your cursor to a different field, your changes are reflected in the corresponding preview area.
