Depending on your system setup, the system may not automatically archive your master job bids when all of the junior orders are complete. If this is the case, you can use the Job Maintenance screen to archive a master job bid upon project completion. If your system is set up to archive automatically, you can use this screen to determine whether the master job bid has been archived. After you have archived—or electronically "filed the paperwork"—for a project, you still have access to view the project information at any time.
For the master job bid project to be archived, the following must be true for all associated junior orders:
No open generations exist for non-lot items.
No open generations exist for lot items that have material detail scheduled for shipment.
The open total prices equal zero. You can view these amounts on the Job Bid Totals Summary screen.
You can view the archived status of a master job bid in the Master Job Bid Review Queue. For more information, see Reviewing Master Job Bids.
Note: You cannot commit a change order to an archived master job bid.
To archive a master job bid:
Display the character-based system.
Note: The Master Job Bids functionality has not been incorporated into Solar Eclipse as of this release.
Open a master job bid.
From the Sales Order Entry Body screen, use the Header hot key to display the Sales Order Entry Header screen.
Use the Add'l hot key, and then the Job Maintenance hot key to display the Job Maintenance screen.
In the Archived field, enter Y.
Press Esc to save the information and exit the screen.
