Use the following three hot keys to search for additional data related to a field or screen and to enter multiple items into one field.
Use the Select hot key (or variations of) to display the Search Criteria screen. Use this screen to enter search criteria for screens throughout the system that have the Select (or variations of) hot key.
Use the Select (or variations of) hot key to access the Search Criteria screen.
In the Select Pattern field, enter a string of characters to display only those entries that contain those characters in the first two lines of the comment field.
In the Select User ID field, enter a User ID to display only those entries that were entered by that ID. Press F10 to display a list of User IDs.
In the Select Sec Level field, enter a security level to display only those entries with that security level on the screen.
In the Select Source field, enter a source to display only those entries identified with that source on the screens. Press F10 to display a list of sources.
In the Select Open Only field, enter Y to display only those entries that are currently open on the screen. Enter N to display all entries. The default is N.
When a field on a screen can contain multiple values, a Multiple Values (or variations of) hot key is active. This hot key displays the Multiple Selection screen, where you can enter multiple values for the field. When multiple values have entered for a field, *Multi* displays in the field.
The Multiple Selection screen may be named differently throughout the system, but it functions the same.
Position the cursor on a field in a screen for which the Multiple Values (or variations of) hot key is active and use the hot key to display the Multiple Selection screen for that field.
To recall a previously saved list of values, use the Recall hot key. At the Recall Work ID prompt, enter the ID or press F10 and select one from a list.
Create or edit the displayed list of values in the following ways:
To add an item to the list, position the cursor on a blank line, press F10 to display a list of values and select one.
To delete an item from the list, position the cursor on the item and press Alt-Delete.
To clear an entire list of values, use the Clear List hot key.
To save the list of values for later recall, use the Save hot key. At the Save Work ID prompt, enter and ID.
Note: You can change the contents of a Work ID, but you cannot delete a Work ID.
Press Esc to apply the list to the field and to return to the previous screen.
*Multi* displays in the field.
Many reports can be run for all price lines, a single price line, or multiple specified price lines. The Price Line (or variations of) hot key displays the Price Line Selection screen, where you can create a list of price lines for which to run the report. You can create and save different lists of price lines and then recall a designated list when you run the report.
On screens with the Price Line (or variations of) hot key, use that hot key. The system displays the Price Line Selection screen with all price lines listed.
To recall a previously saved list of price lines, use the Recall hot key. At the Recall Work ID prompt, enter the ID or press F10 and select one from a list.
Edit the displayed list of price lines in the following ways:
To clear the screen of all price lines, use the Clear hot key and enter Y at the prompt.
To add a price line to the list, position the cursor on a blank line, press F10, and select a price line. PressEnterafter each entry to apply that selection to the list.
To delete a price line from the list, position the cursor on the item to be deleted and press Alt-Delete.
To sort the list, use the Sort hot key and select Alpha, Numeric, or By Desc.
To move a price line to a new position on the list, position the cursor on the item to be moved. Use theMovehot key. Position the cursor on the line you want the selected item to follow. PressEnterto complete the move.
If you have created a new list and want to save it before using it, use the Save hot key. At the Save Work ID prompt, type an ID and press Enter.
Press Esc to apply the list to the report and to return to the report setup screen.
