When picking material in the warehouse for a sales order that require Mill Test Reports (MTR), use the Warehouse Picking Confirmation Queue to enter the heat numbers for the ordered products.
Note: You must be assigned the MTR.EDIT authorization key to enter heat numbers. You must have Level 3 assigned to delete heat numbers or MTR images.
The heat numbers must match those entered for the product in Product Maintenance. Eclipse validates the heat numbers entered through the Warehouse Picking Confirmation Queue. Heat number information must be entered through the MTR Information window from Purchase Order Entry or Product Maintenance before picking the products. You cannot confirm the last step through the Warehouse Confirmation Queue without the heat numbers being defined for the product.

To enter heat numbers through the Warehouse Confirmation Queue:
From the Warehouse > Warehouse Maintenance menu, select Warehouse Confirmation to display the Warehouse Picking Confirmation window.
In the Order # field, enter the order with which you are working.
The system populates the remaining fields.
In the Current User ID field, edit the user ID as necessary to match the in-process status.
From the File menu, select Confirm to confirm the in-process status displayed in the Review Queue Status field.

Note: This
window displays automatically if the Print
MTRs check box is selected at the sales order or line item level.

If heat numbers have not been requested, the system alerts you and closes the Enter Heat Numbers window.
Use the Product Description column to locate the product for which you need to assign a heat number.
In the Heat Number field for the product to which you are assigning a heat number, enter the heat number as it appears on the MTR sheet provided by the manufacturer.
You must be assigned the MTR.EDIT authorization key to enter heat numbers. These heat numbers can be alphanumeric and are forced to all upper case letters after entry. The system validates these numbers against those entered for the product through Product Maintenance.
Important:If
no heat numbers are defined for the product, the system cannot
validate the heat numbers and you cannot complete the confirmation

Use the Multiple button to enter more than one heat number, if needed.
For example, if the product you are working with already has a heat number assigned, you can add the next heat number using this option. When a user adds this product to a sales order, they are prompted to select the appropriate heat number.
Save your changes and return to the Warehouse Picking Confirmation window.
