Changing a Sales Order's Delivery Address

You can edit a sales order to ship to a different address. This is useful when you need to ship an order to a customer job site, for example. You can select from a pre-defined list of addresses or, if authorized, edit ship-to addresses from order entry. You must be assigned the SOE.ALLOW.ADDR.CHANGE authorization key assigned to edit new ship-to addresses on accounts that have the Ship to Address Changes Restrictedcheck box selected.

To ship an order to a different address:

  1. Open a sales order and display any order tab.

  2. In the Ship To area in the upper-right corner, click Edit. The Change Ship To window displays.

  3. In the Customer field, enter a different ship-to customer, if applicable. You select the from the customer list popup box of available customers that closely match your entry.

  4. In the Address, City, State, and Zip fields, enter the delivery information.

The system populates the Country based on the ZIP code entered.

  1. Click OK to update the ship-to address.

  2. Complete the order as usual.
