Use the Order Entry Clipboard to copy and paste line items between sales orders. This is helpful when working with sales orders that often contain some of the same line items. You can add and remove items from the clipboard, and rearrange the items to suit your needs.
Each user has his or her own clipboard. This allows everyone to store their own frequently needed order items. For example, if your inside salespeople specialize in certain product lines or industries, each can store frequently ordered products on their clipboards.
Note: If you need to copy just the product ID from the order, select the line item you want to copy, right-click and select Copy Product ID. You can then paste this ID in another field or window, as needed.
To copy items to the OE clipboard:
Create or open a sales order and display the order's Body tab.
Press and hold down the Ctrl key and click on each line item you want to add. Continue holding down the Ctrl key until all items are selected.
Note: If you accidentally select a line item and want to deselect it, click the line item again while still holding down the Ctrl key.
From the Line Item menu, select Copy Selected Item(s). A pop-up message indicates that the items were added. Click OK to close the message.
If you want to view or manipulate the line items currently on the clipboard, from the Line Item menu, select Paste From or Edit OE Clipboard. The Order Entry Clipboard window displays the following columns:
Quantity - The quantity of the item that was added.
Description - The item's short description from Product Maintenance.
Order ID - The order number from which the item was originally copied.

The Line Item Selection window displays. Select each item you want to copy to the clipboard, and then save your changes and exit the window to add the items. |
Exit the window to return to the order's Body tab.
Upon pasting items to the order's Body tab, if prompted, specify whether to use the items' last costs and prices, or the current costs and prices. If you are overriding any amounts, such as using a lower cost, you may also be prompted to enter a Cost Override Code for the items. Specify whether to Use Last COGS or Use Last Price.
On the order's Body tab, verify that the correct items have been added and adjust the item quantities as needed.
Continue processing the order as usual.
