Closing Counter Orders Using Signature Capture

For customers upgrading to Eclipse Release 9.0 and using the Close Counter Order feature in Eclipse in conjunction with Signature Capture with 64bit workstations, use the following guidelines to improve the work process. You must set up Close Counter Order and Signature Capture separately to work for the new Solar interface.

Setting Up Solar Close Counter Order

Use the following setup if you are only using Close Counter Order in Solar Eclipse for collecting signatures.

To set up Close Counter Order for collecting signatures:

  1. From your computer's Start > All Programs menu, select Control Panel.

  2. Select Programs and then Uninstall a program.

  3. Select Interlink ePad 1.06 from the list and click Uninstall.

  4. Repeat Step 2 for all other ePad drivers as well.

  5. Install the latest ePadLink Universal driver from the Customer Support Website

Important:Use the About Solar Eclipse window to see what bit type you are running. You should download the driver that matches the bit size your machine uses.

  1. On your computer's Start > All Programs > ePadLink menu, select Generic ePad Test Utility.

  2. Sign on the ePad.

The system process the test. Wait for the Device is x inches by x inches message to display.

  1. Open Solar Eclipse.

  2. From the Orders menu, select Close Counter Order.

  3. Confirm there is no red text displaying and the ability to sign and accept orders works as expected.

Setting Up Signature Capture for Close Counter Order

Use the following setup if you are only using Close Counter Order and Eclipse Signature Capture in Solar Eclipse for collecting signatures.

  1. Complete the steps in the previous procedure for setting up Close Counter Order.

  2. Install Eclipse Signature Capture 3.0 from the Customer Support Website: Click here to open.

Note: Eclipse Signature Capture 3.0 requires .NET 4.0. This version is available only with Windows 7 and 8.

  1. Confirm there is no red text displaying and the ability to sign and accept orders works as expected.

  2. Open the Signature Capture program.

  3. From the File menu, select Preferences.

  4. Click the Advanced tab.

  5. Verify that Eclipse Signature Capture is installed in one of the following locations:
