Creating and Deleting Equipment Maintenance Records

Create equipment maintenance records for vehicles and other equipment you use to operate your business, such as delivery trucks and fork lifts, using Equipment Maintenance. You can enter the following information for the vehicle:

Use subledger accounts to track equipment G/L postings.

To create an equipment maintenance record:

  1. From the Warehouse Management > Equipment Maintenance menu, select Equipment Maintenance to display the Equipment Maintenance window.

  2. From the File menu, select New and select the branch or territory to which the equipment belongs.

  3. Enter the equipment ID in the dialog box that displays and click OK.

  4. Enter additional, optional information about the vehicle or equipment in the following fields:

Field

Description

Description

Description of the vehicle.

Make

The name of the manufacturer who made the vehicle.

Year

The year the vehicle was made.

Model

The model name for the vehicle.

Vin/Serial#

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the displayed vehicle or the serial number of the displayed equipment.

License

The license plate number if the equipment is a vehicle.

Next Maintenance Date

The next date the vehicle requires maintenance.

  1. Save your changes and exit the window.

To delete an equipment maintenance record:

  1. From the Warehouse Management > Equipment Maintenance menu, select Equipment Maintenance to display the Equipment Maintenance window.

  2. In the Equipment ID field, enter or select the ID of the piece of equipment you want to delete.

  3. From the File menu, select Delete to delete the record.

  4. Confirm the deletion to remove the equipment maintenance record.

  5. Save your changes and exit the window.
